Quick Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that Jackson is doing pretty good...his oxygen today is down to 32% and his ventilator rate is at 35. He is acting more like himself today, not quite as sleepy or lethargic, like he was yesterday.

Still not quite sure about the whole infection thing, hopefully will know more from the lab tomorrow, although they like to give it 5 days or so to be conclusive. His temperature has been much better..really everything has been a little more normal today and they even increased his feedings, so hopefully the antibiotics are helping.

I got to hold him today for a couple of hours, the nurses have been really good about letting me hold him over an hour...maybe they don't mean too...:) But he does really well when being held, so I think they get busy with their other babies and don't worry with him so much. Everyone there thinks the Kangaroo Care is the best thing for the babies, and it seems to be true. It's funny, because he started setting his alarms off and moving around about the time he was due for his feeding...so he is liking his tummy being full.

They also did a chest x-ray just to make sure there were no issues there, just covering the bases I think, since he seems to be sick. I think we should know the results on that tomorrow.

Hopefully this infection business wont be to bad, seems like it's already getting better, so that's really encouraging. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!
